The old sites

Sacramento Specialty Automotive has repaired Japanese cars in the Sacramento area since 2001, starting as a Subaru-only shop. Today they work on Subaru, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, and other Japanese makes, handling everything from oil changes and brake jobs to check engine diagnostics and transmission work.
You wouldn’t have known that from their website. Over about a year, the shop went through three sites from three different vendors, and each one told a different story. One promoted Teslas and European cars. The next called them a domestic and Asian import shop. The last was a builder template with a generic headline, a parking-lot stock photo, and a toll-free number in place of the shop’s local line. None of them mentioned Subaru.
So we started by listening. Then we built a site around the one thing that sets this shop apart.
What we built

We designed and coded the new site from scratch. No page builder, no stock theme. The goal: let a driver find their car, their repair, and their closest shop, then book.
- 15 service pages, split into routine maintenance and major repairs, from oil changes to transmission work and fleet repair
- 9 vehicle pages, led by Subaru, then Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura, plus the other Japanese makes the shops service
- 3 location pages, each with its own hours, map, and state repair license number
- Rewards, financing, coupons, a blog, and online booking, all connected to the main navigation
How the design is different
The site leads with the shop’s roots. The home page opens on “Subaru Specialists Since 2001,” and a full section covers the Subaru work they’re known for: EJ25 head gaskets, timing belts, CVT service, and EyeSight-era diagnostics. That’s the kind of detail a Subaru owner looks for before trusting someone with their car.
All three shops show up on every page, in the header and the footer, so a driver in Folsom never has to dig for the Folsom address. The menu sorts services by maintenance vs. major repair and sorts vehicles by specialty vs. serviced, which keeps a long service list easy to scan on a phone. Proof sits high on the page: review ratings, the 36-month/36,000-mile nationwide warranty, NAPA AutoCare certification, and 24/7 key drop-off.
Every page is hand-coded, so it loads fast and displays properly on desktop and mobile. We built on-page SEO into each page from the start, and we manage the shops’ Google Ads.
What changed
For the first time in years, the website says what the shop actually is. A Subaru owner in Folsom lands on a page that names their engine, their transmission, and the shop down the street, then books in a few taps. One brand now covers all three locations, instead of each new site pulling the shop in a different direction.
